Health Insurance Term
Cashless Claim
The insurer settles your bill directly with a network hospital.
What is Cashless Claim?
In a cashless claim, the insurer pays the hospital directly, so you don't have to arrange large sums upfront. It works only at network hospitals with a pre-authorisation approval.
You pay only for items that aren't covered, such as certain consumables or costs above your sum insured.
Example
At a network hospital, your ₹2 lakh surgery is settled directly by the insurer — you pay nothing upfront for covered costs.
