Motor Insurance Term
Third-Party Liability
Cover for damage or injury you cause to others — legally mandatory.
What is Third-Party Liability?
Third-party liability insurance covers your legal responsibility if you injure another person, or damage their vehicle or property, with your vehicle. It's the legal minimum every vehicle in India must have.
It does not cover damage to your own vehicle — for that you need own-damage or a comprehensive policy.
Example
If you dent someone's car in an accident, third-party cover pays their repair claim.
